I had a flu jab.

You're right, maybe I caught flu. Flu with covid symptoms. At the same time as people around me had covid. As I said, it is possible. Just not very probable.

Quite similar????? They are exactly the same if you get a dose of proper full blown flu. Even the covid virus is the same virus that causes the flu and the common cold amonst other things. It has mutated but without a test it's impossible to know. And in my opinion the tests are not conclusive anyway. I don't think they can tell which version of the virus is being detected all they know is that it is a covid virus. I also question the competence of the testers or at least the "scientists" who test the tests.

That's not correct. Sorry.

They need to get back as soon as possible, if only to learn grammar and punctuation.
I was told at a parent-teacher evening thirty years ago that they didn't correct spelling nor grammar as long as the meaning was clear.

I got the impression that the little girl teacher did not know enough to do that.

How do you know it was COVID then? Both myself and partner had a dose of high temperatures and breathlessness in December, partner has had an antibody test, which came back negative.

Before lockdown eased, R5L swapped all of its small - hours - of - the - morning programming for phone - ins, which in the main seemed like counselling sessions.
And, to listen to the callers, it seemed like most of them had "definitely had Coronavirus", even though none of them had had it confirmed by test.

Maybe the antibody test failed. And not everybody develops antibodies.
When you have all the symptoms of an illness that is widely circulating, and those symptoms are pretty unique and specific to the disease in circulation, then it is incredibly unlikely you had something else. I mean, it is possible I didn't have covid, just something that was just like it in every way ... but not found another virus that causes all those symptoms, so tend to think it was covid.

That's it then, conclusive.

Mind you since we have been in lockdown with the majority of folk social distancing / additional hand washing I / our family have had significantly less sniffles and feeling (non self inflicted) rough days. So hopefully if nothing else, when we all get through this, hopefully folk will take general hygiene at bit more seriously.
