I am looking for a liquid material that can be used to fill in a small strip between my pavement and new edgings. I have seen products but they all seem to be used as paint on DPM.

I need something i can pour in that will match the tarmac well. I had hoped to spot a highways team locally to get them to patch in with hot melt but have had no luck so far.

There is a tar /bitumen type rope stuff that you shove into the crack and then use a propane torch to melt the rope into a liquid form

There is also a can of stuff that you melt and apply by pouring.

How big is the gap?

For sealing small cracks without a tar burner, overbanding tape is sometimes used
