Dear All,

I have purchased a Google Nest Cam outdoor and I am repeatly getting a signal that the Wifi signal is weak. This doesn't surprise me as as the Wifi when accessing the internet with a laptop in the camera area is also weak.

Sky have offered to send me a wifi booster but I believe this may not be sufficient (as I assume the booster will also struggle to access the router signal).

I would be very appreciative on any thoughts on how to extend the Wifi Signal

Kind regards

Paul

If you can run an ethernet cable from the router to close to where the cameras are (if near roof then into the loft can work well) you can put a wi fi access point in, which will help. I have one of these TP-LINK TL-WA901ND 450 Mbps Wireless N Access Points at the back of my bungalow, the router being at the front of the house which has solid walls throughout). Works a treat. Means I get good wifi in the garden too.

thats appreiciated jonbey, very appreciated indeed. In the event that I cannot run an ethernet cable can it be done via a so called powerlink arrangement???
