Evening,
My Aqua Lisa shower was cold so replaced the cartridge which sorted the problem.
Then it started dripping.
I hadn’t changed the o ring so popped it out and replaced it with a new one.
Still dripping!!!!!
What could be the issue?
Thanks.

What model?
Was the cartridge coloured?
Did you replace it with the same colour cartridge?

Its a Aquavalve 609 and had a grey cartridge which I replaced like for like.
I actually spoke to AL tech support, sent a picture and they confirmed the model and what cartridge I needed.

Where is it dripping from?

Morning - its dripping from the shower head......but its brand new and specced by AL. They told the model number for a replacement.
Its really frustrating !

Interesting. I replaced a grey cartridge in an Aqualisa Aquamixa yesterday and that still dripped. O ring was changed too. I've done loads of these over the years and never had a problem before. Was going to call Aqualisa after the weekend. Possible dodgy batch?

Indeed. I replaced two at once in separate showers, one was fine the other a nightmare. Wondering if I stalled it wrong but I don't see how.

Unvented hot water cylinder with a flat expansion vessel ?

The one I fitted was gravity fed and grey is the correct cartridge. I double checked because I did a like for like swap once where a combi had been installed and the cartridge hadn't been changed.

The grey can be used for both gravity and pressurised systems,

Unvented cylinders are normally pressurised to about 3 bar, when the expansion vessel goes flat or the bubble needs replenishing the pressure can rise above 3 bar and can cause taps and showers to drip, I asked for a pic as you seem unsure what you have.

Hi Gossamer,
How did you get on with the shower? I contacted Aqualisa and had a replacement cartridge sent out under warranty. Fitted and no more dripping so it looks like first cartridge was faulty.
