Had months of trouble free use since fitted by me mid 2019 but lately sometimes the flush valve sticks open (see picture) so water just runs into the pan.

The centre plastic doesn’t drop down as it should. Seems ok for a half flush.

It feels like it must be sticking on a plastic tab because there’s a feeling of plastic to plastic resistance, but once you manually tap it down (and pull it back up), this resistance is gone. Maybe a spring loaded tab in there or something?

I can’t find instructions online for it, just the product itself. It’s an Alliance “Wye”.

So, fellers, should the whole thing (flush valve) turn and pull out for me to get into it and try and see what’s happening?

If I can can avoid it I really don’t want to have to pull the back to wall pan and take the inlet pipe out etc etc to change the thing.

Thanks

Bump.

Should the flush valve pretty much turn and come out of the cistern for me to try and analyse what’s going on with it?

Thanks

Ok, thanks.

It was frustrating that none of the same cistern for sale had likes of attached pdf of the instructions for it.
