No.

But when that very old one is replaced, you might be able to position the new one better.

It could be 30 years old.

Possibly ripped out after the original rewireable fuses were swapped out to find that it would no longer fit.

Maybe fit a backless cabinet over it with a mirrored front.

They are not fuses. They are MCBs. That box can take fuses which are lower profile but I’m not sure they are still available and it would be a downgrade. As has been said there is a cover missing.

Fuse/MCB, Lamp/bulb, tomato/tomatoe. I've given up arguing the toss with customers as it doesn't get me anywhere

Noone cares what there called or about the cover missing. The question was if u can get smaller ones to out a mirror up not what are these called

The items that are slightly smaller are most commonly called fuses, they are in fact a fuse holder with a bit of fuse wire inside them.

I'm amazed no one had said it yet. But that fusebox could do with upgrading as it is rather old.

New CU's don't stick out as much, so that would solve your issue

I must say that I would probably have suggested that "it could be" well over 30 years old!

Kind Regards, John
