Y take such a high handed mightier than all attitude? Plus I didn't give advice. merely a sujestion.
I've found a broken electrode lead on a solo before now and even that sort of voltage will not correctly spark if the lead is damaged. Ever tried starting ur car with a damaged ht lead?
Also if it is damaged and the spark is igniting then the rectification might not be correct because of the daamge.
I doubt it's the pcb, they rearely break down intermitantly.
If it was the electrode gap then tapping the case would make no difference. Where as if it was a damaged lead it might.
U can only go on what U are told.
