Super Saturday?

Just got pack, pub was about a third capacity, table service, had 3 or 4 pints and took away a meal. Very civilised. They'll be doing eat in meals from wednesday, still table service, the staff were friendly but grateful to be back working, although a little nervous, I think they were expecting a lot of people to turn up who hadn't booked but that didn't happen.
You see, that's what it's supposed to be like..
Just had a row with the police. They've done nothing and the environmental health dept telephone isn't running.... because of covid. This is why landlords don't care - they know they get away with it. Shame he has so little regard for his punters/staff safety, I know he doesn't care about neighbours.

Perhaps the police were too busy dealing with Nigel Farage who had a pint at lunchtime today on what should have been his 14th and final day in quarantine after returning from America. Very surprised about the pub near you though, I thought the police would have been all over that.

Had to go look that up - yeah, perhaps a waste of time. I suppose it's just another example of people of influence not doing what they are supposed to, like Dom Cummings?
All a waste of time now anyway, with this isolation stuff imo. Should've been done at the beginning.

I think it was all your fault! And the mods, for not telling you off..!

It's no bad thing to prick the pomposity of the permanently offended wherever they are. Credit to the mods for not pandering to Himmy's need to censor anything that he doesn't like. They saw that what I wrote was in humour.

Like Arnie, he'll be back. Maybe under yet another alias, but he's like a month to a flame.

Just watching a pub last night on the news. Social distancing, hand sanitiser, table service only and then the barman comes out with two drinks, no tray with his bare hands cupping one of those Babycham type glasses. He might as well just stuck a couple of his fingers into the customers mouth. Yuk!

Eww!

Just been reading on the news, after last night it's been decided that drunk people are incapable of social distancing. Urm.. no sh it sherlock!

Now I find that deeply disturbing. In my opinion most drunks are very amenable fellows who understand everything you say to them, and comply implicitly, when you ask them to do something like go home and sleep it off.

Ooops. Seems the mad pub landlord doesn't know as much about the spread of highly infections viruses as he thought.

50 pubs with coronavirus. Crazy to think the number of new infections that might have been caused by the "need" to have pubs open.

Both can be true. Its possible that people contracted the virus from house mates?

A lot of HMOs are breading grounds for Covid and a lot of young working people have little choice other than live in HMOs

Well, either way, infected people in pubs will cause a much greater rate of reinfection than infected people staying at home.
