Wifey wants to paint the front room is an almost white farrow and ball shade.

Ceilings and coving are currently white.

Would it be "best" to also paint ceilings and coving the same white shade? Or keep as brilliant white

I have no ideas. Colour schemes aren't my thing.

Why the heck are you asking us?
We are not your wifey.
Your wifey is in charge of the colours, ask her - she will know.
Your ideas are WRONG! Wifey's are correct.

I know this for a fact (my daughter told me - they pair up to discuss wall colours etc.).
lol

I'd do the ceiling brilliant white to help reflect the light that small percentage better.
It will also offset the ceiling from the wonderful white on the walls, make it pop better (some language for you to use - wifey's like this type of talk).

I want to offer a valid opinion. Apparently my default response of "I don't care" is wrong.

Perfect. I will say this (y)

That will get you some husband points. (y)

Not enough for any hankey pankey though..

When a customer asks me to use Farrow and Ball I push back unless the colour is (for example) a very dusty green. You might be able to find the same shade in the likes of Dulux Trade but it won't be quite so matt.

The last time I used F&B I had to apply 4 coats and 6 where I had used filler. Over priced rubbish specified by people that don't have to work with it.

I had never liked using their emulsion and one day I had the misfortune to phone their customer services. The yellow paint I was applying had dots of red pigment that my roller kept distributing all over the wall. I rang them to complain and the smug woman said "oh, it is a characteristic of our paint that you have to stir it for ten minutes before use", I explained that stirring it for an hour would not break down sand sized bits of pigment. She didn't care, I was just a lowly decorator, a paid surf, how dare I find fault with their products?

It's a tricky one.

House is lime plastered. I've stripped wallpaper back to distemper, which I'm cleaning off. Its in surprisingly good condition, so, we are going to just paint it.

I want a "breathable" paint. The FB estate range has the same SD (vapour permeability) rating as lime wash (0.01)

Next option is an earthborne clay paint at 0.02 SD.

Both are the same cost, although, wifey prefers the FB range.

We've got some tester pots of FB and will see what its like. Especially on some of the filler I've had to add (as there's a 100 years of nail, screw and picture hanging damage)

Happy to hear alternatives?
