Hi, I am trying to remove efflorescence from the house. I managed to remove it on one wall but I am not happy now with it looking darker like being wet. See photo.

I plan to use less acid on the adjacent wall to avoid the same problem hopefully but I am not sure whether to clean the rest of the porch now so the whole wall looks the same.

Any ideas please? Is this normal and it will fade eventually? Is there anything that can fix it now so it's not so obvious, as I imagine it will take a long time to fade if it ever will?

Many thanks.

Acid works cement, not efflorescence. You'll now need to do the whole front of the house to match it in.

You did rinse it afterwards?

The label on Sika brick cleaner says works on efflorescence as well.
Thanks for your view. I might do the porch but dont fancy the whole house. It's mid terraced. I wonder what happens if I spray it with salt?

No more needing help. The wall obviously needed good 24 hours to dry properly. My picture was taken after about 15 hours.

I am very pleased. Now the wall looks perfect.
