What have you been doing today?

Just back from a morning ride, glorious views, watched a kestrel hunting on the common, stopped outside my favourite cafe which has been closed since lockdown, was looking at the notice on the door when the owner opened up, cappuccino in the sun, followed a charm of goldfinch along the lane flying from bush to bush, quick rest at the Alpacas fast asleep, necks intertwined, home for another coffee & shortbread
Sounds perfect. (y)

Technically yesterday but,

First - born has decided to take up golf (workmates play), so I dusted off the old bats, and accompanied him to the golf range.

First time I'd touched a club in over 18 months, I just went through a small bucket of balls.

First - born took my advice, and is having lessons before he sets himself in bad habits.

Golf, uggg I don't have the patience and certainly not the talent.

My golf scores tend to look like cricket scores. 160 for 8. Translated, 160 strokes to get round a course with 8 lost balls!

My 1st ever round of golf I got round 18 holes in 98 strokes, it's bloody boring though. As said I don't have the patience for the game.

I packed it in (barring annual corporates the lik ) when first - born started playing football. Preferred watching him, than playing golf.

Very frustrating game; no matter how well I played, I always knew I'd left a shot out more "out there".

Even when I shot 3 over (74), twice.

After a spring and summer of wearing lightweight leather/nato/polyamide/rubber straps on my watches, I’m changing back to bracelets for winter. I've just had to add a half link to my Seamaster Pro bracelet as my wrists seem to have increased in line with the rest of me during lockdown. Not an easy thing to do with my eyes and screws the size of a grain of sand!

Warm enough to be sitting outside here tonight with a drink finally put my feet up, I'm very half cut, waiting for my dinner to cook (American meatballs - heart attack), wife's putting the youngest to bed, eldest is youtubing or some other ****e, a dawn bike ride awaits in the AM, sometimes the planets converge and everything is at one with the world.

Just got a paper collar and a chip reader from a cat's protection volunteer. Black cat went missing for a couple of days but back today. Last chance to trace owners before we take over! :)

Lovely warm sunshine too, sitting in the garden with a nice cuppa.

A walk in the forest with my grandson. I let him walk my mums dog. All in proportion!
