Err....sorry people.....I'm absolutely hopeless in a crisis. Well, not quite true haha, I have made my mates richer, but I'm afraid some of you are going to have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Again. Well, not again because you can't die twice. But I'm going to have to warn you again.

I'm terribly sorry to break this bad news but we have to flatten the curve. We tried it last time with some success and this time we really have to knuckle down. It's all for the greater good. I'm sure when we all (apart from those who don't make it) come out the other side unscathed, we will look back and think it was worthwhile.

Well for certain it's been pretty shambolic and some shady deals done, but other countries are seeing 2nd waves. Not quite sure the point your making, Boris's ineffectual bluster?

Emergency powers will alow the use of unlicensed vaccine in the UK

Same powers will block any one suing government should it go pear shaped

No one in the UK is even slightly tempted by that, at least no one with any involvement in Vaccine development. The main view of the Russian vaccine, where they seemed to be skipping the final safety testing phases was anger and disappointment. Mostly because it gives whackjob anti vaxxers more material to work with.

Whilst I support mandatory vaccination, mostly to protect children from dangerous parents (not relevant in this case, here the parents are a danger to society rather than their children, which is a nice change), I don't support and would be amazed if the UK doesn't require the usual safety tests before rolling out a vaccine.

No, you idiot, the concern is that slightly dim middle class worriers will refuse to have a safe and tested vaccine because of a different vaccine that isn't allowed in the UK. And that Anti Vaxxer idiots will milk it to help make everything worse, as they always do.

you are something else fool. i’m quite sure as a middle class member of society that the vast majority of people like me would be more than happy to embrace a safe vaccine , and would know the difference between tried and tested approved vaccines from say britain and some russian rubbish which wouldn’t even make it through customs.
