Best muffler/silencer for lawn mower project

Hello,
I need to fit a muffler/silencer system to a ride on mower that I am converting into a mini tractor for my young son. We live in the country but surrounded by houses and therefore would like it to be as quiet as possible. I have looked at various muffler/silencers similar to the attached photo but notice that some of these add a throaty noise to the exhaust. I want one that will quieten the exhaust as much as possible but not create its own noise if that makes sense.
Advice would be welcome for a well priced efficient one. Thanks
Ps Can I put two of these in line ?Does that not make much difference and also would this

I don’t think that one would be suitable.....apart from the size the mower engine wouldn’t be able to fill it and this would cause it to boom.
I’d consider a motorbike silencer from something like a Honda 90 maybe, which was a very quiet machine.
Honda silencers are generally quieter than Briggs for example but none are particularly offensive, particularly if the exhaust exits below the deck.
Either way, you are going to get handy with the MIG welder!

Genuine Briggs silencers for this size of motor are a hell of a price......do you have something to start with?

Yes I know they do cost a lot. I was hoping to use something like the Honda 90 system. Any reason that this wouldn't work. I notice the Honda 90 is about 9 hp. Thanks
 
I don’t think the 2 hp difference would matter, and often Honda systems are twin wall ( down pipe anyway) which helps with the noise, and also protects the chrome.....but that doesn’t matter here.
It would be a good starting point, I think.
