Is it safer to vacuum than blow dust?

I have an underground car park which gets full of leaves and also dust (possibly building dust) until now I've always used to blower to blow the leaves into a corner then scooped up. I'm worried about the amount of dust i breathe in. Would it be safer to hoover them up ? I have a gutter vacuum which is designed for leaves. Has no bag in it though

Wear a mask but still seem to get a sore throat so I never trust those things too much

Garden vacs are fine - but you still get the dust when emptying them....but of course that could be outside somewhere.
If the leaves / debris become wet, you'd be surprised how heavy they can be.
I use a Billygoat vac - but that's maybe a bit overkill.

The electric blower I use in underground parking area has a vac function I think
I have gutter vac too with 50mm hose which suck leaves which is better?

If I buy a Billy goat vac, can i use it on concrete block paving and beds and grass? I checked them out. They're £1000 minimum
Maybe I could hire one to test it out. This could be a game changer for my breathing dust and leaf clearing

Yeah emptying dust! Hold your breath I guess

That Billygoat is a newer version of mine - basically you can use the flexible hose for cleaning or the front scoop for broader sweeps....there's a plate on the bottom that is fixed for the former, removed for the latter. The front scoop can be lowered or lifted. The bag is huge and has a nylon zip which allows emptying.
It will pick up cans and bottles as well as twigs and they'll all be pulverised by the impeller below the engine.
It's a very effective machine but takes up a lot of storage space - if it can be justified then go for it! Mine hires well in the autumn but is generally a garage ornament for most of the year :(
The machine can tend to wander courtesy of its own inertia when using the flexy hose so I bought some wheelchair brakes from ebay and fixed them on.

At work we have brushes and brooms banned.
You can only vacuum dust, using decent filters.
This was because of dust issues and air quality.
Although I guess it depends on the frequency of the dust

I can't believe there is a thread regarding sweeping up, I'm sure the next post would be "do you push or pull the broom?"

No idea, but then I have no idea why brooms handles are so bristley and the heads so small.
