Hi

I'm looking at a few radiators and found some good deals:

Reina Colona rads (Made in China) 40kg 500 x 1370 £450 for 2 (10 yr guarantee)
Trade essentials (Made in Italy 34kg 500 x 1404 £700 for 2 (6 yr guarantee)

and was concerned about hanging such heavy rads of the wall.

Both walls I'm intending to hang these rads are external facing walls (Victorian brick), recently re-plastered with Bonding and multi finish.

Wondered how those of you with more experience would feel about hanging such a heavy rad of the wall.

Also how you feel about chinese made column rads, Is there much difference between those made in china vs those made in Europe?

Thank you

If you're hanging them on Victorian brick there shouldn't be a problem, unless the fixings are in soft mortar.

just recently re-plastered with gypsum back to the brick work, so I figured it will be nice and strong

Anything made in china is cheap rubbish.
I'd rather pay more for something made this side of the world.
I know many people preach that the great people of china make the best of everything, but in my experience i never come across anything Chinese that lasted.
Buy European or better, British.
This is especially true for fixings in your case.

Google "column radiator feet", you may find some you like, they will take most of the load to the floor rather than the wall.
