My Hobbie when i can get to it is fixing my Talbot campervan ( self build.)

I love mechanics as much as DIY, not to keen on modern cars.

Bless you facebook must be dead today. I dont often reply to answers like yours but a thought for people who are new to forums and reaching out to discuss or share expieriences is very often lost on the arrogant. May i suggest you read a book or an online educational course.

I am considering a camper van, at the moment car and caravan. I know in Turkey you can get a standard van converted reasonably cheap, but don't fancy driving that far.

The problem is the older van does not do that many miles per gallon, the car does around 50 MPG light and 30 MPG towing and that is an old Kia, with the Jag we are getting more like 60 MPG light never towed with it yet, and I have more room in the caravan than in a camper van.

However the camper van would be easier to drive, and also fly camping, using a layby with a caravan really not on.

But it seems many have thought the same, so police getting stricter.

You don't often reply to any messages going by your post count so it's nice to know my "ok" got a snowflake all worked up , so I thank you for that it's always nice to know people are reading what I put and are taking it in.

I don't have Facebook by the way

Have you considered a Mazda Bongo, Eric? Quite an amazing vehicle - I'm not into motor homes but I'm well familiar with it.....brilliant in so many ways.
John :)
