Hi , got a glowworm 3 25r boiler on a S plan system, Im confused what wires go where. The programmer is a Honey well ST699. It asks in the boiler manual for a common electric supply for the boiler and for the corresponding controller. There are two mains wiring connection points in the boiler. The first is just Live Neutral and earth, the second has an additional connection called RT. Can anyone shed light on where these two sets of wires terminate. Thanks for any response.

Hi Mark,

I think the case forms part of the combustion circuit on the boiler, are you gas safe registered?

I just have explained it - RT = Room thermostat, lol.

The orange wires from zone valves are the switched lives , these have to be connected to rt.

LOL, you just told me sommat I already knew, what i would like to know is how it connects into the s plan wiring system. Normally the room stat would be connected to the zone valve. cheers

Hi Picasso, not come across that before , so do the orange switch lives and the Rt connection connect into terminal 10 . . Cheers

No the orange wires connected to rt are the run signal for the boiler (normally 230vac) the live ,neutral and earth for the boiler are taken from the permanent L,N and E in the junction box.

Thats great Picasso. LOL, you have saved me from a restless night. Would have been handy if they had said that in the manual. Big thanks.

Sorry, didn’t know that’s what you were after, assumed coz you’re a spark, you’d know. Assumption is the mother of all **** ups.
