It depends on how many lives the measures have saved and how many they have caused.

How many excess deaths were due to covid and how many due to the measures taken?

If you truly believe that the measures have saved 460,000 lives then they have been justified.

There is no need for lockdown or trash the economy, mass test and trace is the solution.
A govt paying consultants £7000 day rate and using excel 2003 not the solution

While I don't in itself disagree with you bashing the current shambles, your examples are (imho) neither justifiable nor rigorously-defensible, or are even the stuff of wish-lists.


Comparing NZ and UK is like comparing apples and small rodents, but I've pointed this out previously.
While "mass test and trace" might be "the solution", it is a solution that doesn't exist anywhere vaguely comparable to the UK.
