Hudson, you are way more into crunching numbers than I but I will add a potential problem, cost wise. If you have AC you will tend to use it to keep cool in the summer so there will be, effectively, a cost that did not exist previously that may need to be factored in.

One of those would cost more to run than electric heating for the same amount of heat, then it would normally need additional ventilation and they generate moisture. Really, they are a last resort, for temporary emergency heating where there are no other ways to provide heat.

true but my costing was based on 11p/hr all year round - which should cover the cooling as well as the heating (or there abouts)

in fact it does mean the radiator option would take longer to pay back as i'd only heat the space part of the year, then it's not being used - granted it's not costing anything at that stage but at the same time it's not cooling either.

If you are using the garage soley as a business office it is tax deductable so who cares how much it costs
