Any way to move a 1 tonne bag of sand

as above, had 6 x 1 tonne bags of sand delivered 2 weeks ago, I’ve used 5 but have 1 left to be used in a few weeks time. I could do with moving it about 5m further down the driveway

Without a jcb or 10 men, are there any tricks of the trade to shift it? Am guessing not, but thought I’d ask anyway

I once tried to pull one in a FWD van but couldn't get enough traction, think I had to empty about half of it before I could pull it.

may be if I had got a tow eye in and reverse pulled it, may be that would have got me more grip - wish I had tried.

(had about 6 pints of home brew so just wondering if that made any sense ?)

ratchet straps x2 or 3 and something pushing with bull bars a foot at a time with a bit off impact but not daft amounts??

Takes time as it may only be possible to move the sack a foot or so each lift.

Shovel sand into barrow. Tip barrowload into empty bag at the desired location. Repeat. Doesn't take long

Or if you can’t barrow, gorilla tub on shoulder, doable within about an hour on your own, if not much fun

put a huge ***** board at the bottom of the drive saying ‘free building sand’.
when it’s all gone phone the builders merch and get them to drop a new one in the right place.
or phone the raf rescue and ask if you can borrow a chinook.
or place an advert on gumtree for a labourer .£70 a day.
or just pretend its not there.
or fing it all into the road and report it to the council.
or buy some sea water and turn it in to a beach.
or if your’e really clever every time you walk past it scoop a cupfull up and move it the 5m required. Be all done by june. or
leave it there and move the drive 5m.

Yep, I can move a bag 20 metres in 45 minutes. I've done it so much I've started timing it. About ten barrows per bag.

I carried a bag of gravel (800kg?.) through the house, used builders buckets took about half an hour.

Luckily I saved a few of the grab bags so had one to fill up at the other end.

I reckon you've now spent more time pondering it than you would have barrowing it! Get out there in the daylight, empty bag where you want it, and tip in until it's too high, then build a little ramp, or have shovel it into the bag and lift the barrow in for the rest.

Did a tonne bag of topsoil a few weeks back in about half an hour I think.

Unless you need more building materials imminently, and ask the delivery driver if he would mind shifting it.

Watch the Great Escape (modified trousers on the school run?)
Sprinkle and rake it into your/a lawn?
An hour's work with a shovel and a barrow?

I've got three rolls of black sacks, a shovel, mask and a train ticket and am waiting for the call to come and sort this shiit out before this post gets any longer.
