Hi - I'm having an island installed as part of a new kitchen and it will have two sockets on it (one at either end). No hob or oven on it - just the 2x sockets.
Before the builders latex the floor (only needs one coat about 5mm), I want to chase out and bury the trunking for the cable to reach the island from the wall.
My question is does the trunking need to be anything special or can it just be normal plastic trunking? Also does it have to be at a certain depth for Building Regs?
I think I've read that if it's less than 50mm deep, it needs to be in metal trunking and more than 50mm can be plastic but would be grateful if someone could confirm if that's right.
Thanks in advance,
