In your opinion.

C. 20% of "common colds" (you know them; the stuff you shuffle off every few weeks or months, complaining about "feeling like shoite" or some such) are coronaviruses.
We have herd immunity to them.

My bet is that, in months, years, or God forbid, decades, the 'rona will go the same way.
Actually humans don't have lasting immunity to the 4 cold causing viruses

Yep...

"Shortage of poultry workers could hit Christmas dinner"

"1,000 EU workers were needed to stop Christmas supply from collapsing"

"The type of skills turkey production requires are not available among UK workers"

Taking back control

Stuff Christmas not a fan tbh :)

Cobblers. They can work up until Dec 23rd or 24th and still have time to get home in time for the 31st. Sorted. Where’s the problem? That’s assuming turkey farmers haven’t heard of freezers.

Yes, I've had no vegetables for the last 3 months because they've rotted in the ground for want of Eastern European pickers exactly as you and Notch predicted. No turkey as well now, we'll all be sat round the table with empty plates.

Oh well, never mind.

There’s at least 160 different strains, or serotypes, of rhinovirus - its not that they cannot cure it, its that there are so many variants and that there isn't much demand for a vaccine for something that most people can deal with in a few days.

Where’s the problem?
EU workers are leaving the UK 'cos they have concluded it's now a nasty xenophobic country, and they will be able to choose from 30 other countries to work in as and when they please...

Unlike UK citizens of course (n)

But hey you've got paid time on your hands, old man...

Time for you to get 'down and dirty' with the gobblers (y)

Plenty of UK citizens getting free residency in EU.. Not much of a challenge showing you have 4k in the bank. EU workers are returning home because the pay gap is much smaller. That is caused by EU workers making lots of cash, buying stuff at home and pushing prices up.

Well if that is so, what was the migration problem in the first place that got brexiteers so frothing at the mouth?

Plenty of northerners did the same thing in reverse in the '80's but that was ok!

If that’s the case, why were they coming here to work instead of going to any one of those other 30 countries in the first place? Oh yeah, I remember - education, benefits, housing, welfare and health systems, not forgetting the rich pickings from London tourists of course. Well, no more after January - unless WE say so. Strange how they managed to emigrate but some U.K. residents couldn’t. Missed the boat I suppose or was it because they got a big fat Nei? (y)

No, it isn't caused by EU workers making lots of cash buying stuff at home.....I can't see how that would be plausible, the number of EU citizens in UK wouldn't be enough to create sufficient demand to force up prices in their home country.

The reasons are:
Drop in pound
Settled status refusals / toxic home office policy.....creating uncertainty
Eastern Europe countries have grown wealthier and have seen significant infrastructure development.

You really are clueless aren't you?

So easily manipulated by right wing media to blame immigrants.

When Eastern Europeans cam here originally, they came to work. It wasn't a nasty xenophobic place back in the early 2,000s
And yes the vast vast majority of them are very hard workers......your argument they came for benefits is bolox.

It's hilarious how you say they came for benefits, yet other immigrant haters say they came here and took our jobs.

Do talk amongst yourselves and make your mind up which it is :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

But they may have a degree of immunity that makes the colds, "just colds", and not as potentially dangerous as the 'rona.
Which as some posters have already stated on GD, is good enough for a vaccine to be considered effective.

Because of a better chance of making more money than in their home country, and using reciprocal agreements negotiated by the UK as part of the EU...

Plus doing the jobs that most 'UK people' refuse to do...

If you disagree with what EU migrants get in the UK, then we have to assume that you also disagree with what UK migrants gain in the EU/EEA when the opposite applies...

Is that true?

Yes or no are the only options.
