sliding panel to mount equipment *PIC*

Hi,

Ive got bits and bats of IT equipment which I've mounted on a wall (which is pretty high - see pic).

Was thinking that it would be better if they mounted on a wooden board instead (plywood?). Was ideally hoping to come up with a sliding system so that I could pull the board out whenever I wanted.

Does that make sense? any ideas on how I could get a sliding system working? What could I use for the sliders? The board will be about 100cm by 50 cm (where the 100 cm will be the horizontal side on the slider)

By the way, the reason I want it sliding is that I cant get my hand to the end easily. The section you see in the pic is overhanging a stairway in the attic (there's some shelving where the big PC's sit and then the smaller stuff on the wall)

Easiest way would be rackmount style.
You could buy rackmount sliding shelves like

These are designed to fit into punched metal extrusions so you'd also nod them

However I have made simple pull out shelves using ply with a bit of timber on each side.
Then added drawer sliders

And build a cupboard to support the sides.
The advantage of the drawer slides is that you can make the unit width fit your gear of the space you have.

I just picked heavy duty stuff quickly so you could make it cheaper by searching
