Hi group, in the process of renovating a property for my son to live in, been away for a few days, when I visited this morning I noticed the boiler had a leak, upon inspection I found the the rubber hose was leaking from the top which I've highlighted with a yellow circle. What I would like to know is, can the clips be replaced with simple jubilee clips, has the hose been retro fitted as it seems loose.
Thanks group

Hose is not retro fit, checked the installation manual and its part of the kit.

Are you the installer? If not, stop messing about with the boiler and get the installer back

If you fitted the boiler and are registered to fit one, get Baxi to pop over and sort the boiler as boiler should still be under warranty

No Im not the installer, I have no idea how old the boiler is so not sure if its under warranty or not. I haven't touched the boiler apart from give it a visual.

So who opened the sealed front cover for you then?

Tony

It is sealed in the sense that it forms the room sealed aspect of the boiler so that it is gas tight.

For that reason we do not recommend that non gas registered people should open it up.

Message received and understood, I really don't need the boiler for the next few days so I'll arrange for our Corgi gas man to inspect. The cover wasn't secured in any way, it simply lifted off. Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated.

What was the resolve here Ottosump, as my boiler is doing the same thing. Did you get an engineer or could you resolve it yourself? (I put an extra clip on the top of the rubber connector and it slowed down the leak, but it still drips) thanks

start your own post if you want an answer dont piggy back an old post

Jubilee clip won't help just cause more pain ;) but you need to give more info to get help help of course and Ian is right ;)
