Hi Can some one help me please with my potterton Ep2002 programmer. I have just had my utility room wet walled where my programmer and boiler are situated. before the work was carried out everything was working fine. when work was being carried out two wires came out of the controller.
they were put back were I thought they went' but obviously wrong. now I can't get hot water. central heating and boiler working fine, thermostat in the hall lighting up and seems to be working?
but the the thermostat up in the airing cupboard where the hot water cylinder is' is not lighting up. I have a potterton suprima 40 boiler, not long had new PCB board fitted as well as New port valve as well, would greatly appreciate any help thanks.

The wire that is in terminal 2 should be in 3 I would think. Because 2 is not usually used and 3 in the HW on.

Could do with seeing a picture of the wires in the wiring centre where the pump and valves are connected, might be able to work it out then.

I'm thinking that the blue you have circled should be in terminal 1 but don't do that until i have seen the picture i have asked for. But you also say cylinder stat not lighting up? What sort is it? Post a pic of that too please.

Hi John and thanks for reply, If i take out the blue wire i circled the boiler wont light up, I have attached some pics if you wouldn't mind having a look
If I switch the HW switch to off nothing happens' if i switch the CH off and leave the HW switch to on the boiler stops.

hot water is getting up the pipe just before the tank, but not going into tank

Sorry I can't tell from the pictures, all that I am sure of is that there should be a wire in 3 and not 2 at the clock.
You might have to get someone out who can do some testing to work it out.

You have a 3 port valve which is usually mid position if it is you need wires in 1 and 3
1 is hot water off
3 is hot water on
