Can anyone tell me the average cost to MOT a 7.5 tonne truck (Basically a box van) used for personal use?

Been quoted £400 which seems a bit steep? is that about right?

Is it kitted out as a motor home? Haven't done one in a while but if so, should be the same as class 4 car test but you will need to find a testing station that has a pit or a ramp that can accommodate it. If not, it’s a HGV test at a government testing station.

Always best to get the truck checked (plated) at a truck garage first.....the VOSA station will charge you for a retest or occasionally impound the vehicle if it has serious faults.
