Not sure this is the right board for this, but I'm looking for advice on kitchen down lights. We are having a large kitchen/ family room extension built (7.2m by 7.2m) and will be having downlights. I was planning on the standard size GU10 led equivalent, but our electrician has suggested these larger versions on the link below. We will obviously need less of them, but just wondering what people's thoughts are about them. One advantage is as they have a wider beam there should be less shadow and will make the ceiling less fussy. The ceiling will be around 2.6m high. Thanks for any replies.

Thay could be fitted, if that's what you want.

They are integrated units, meaning when one fails you have to replace the entire thing, and when that particular one isn't made any more, you will have to replace all of them if you want them to match.

Thanks for the reply. It is an issue about having to replace the whole unit and I've had good look on the internet and I can't find any kitchens which have this type.
