I have had this issue for a few years. My nose gets dry when I am indoors at home. I have tried using vaseline to coat the insides of my nostrils and even baby oil and neither has helped. I have seen Doctors abroad and even went to see a private consultant here and everyone gave me the all clear.
The issue peaks at night. A nostril will block up during my sleep and I start snoring. My wife seems to be facing the same issue now.

I sniff Olbas oil and it opens up my nostrils and I can breathe again but this is not a permanent solution.

Has anyone had this? Could it because of materials used in rooms or something?

If you haven't already. make sure your central heating is off and leave a window open, works on my dry throat.

Place an open container filled with water on your window sill or near the radiator.

The window in my room is always open. Central heating is turned on for an hour every evening. I have used a Vicks humidifier and that was of no help. I have tried taking allergy tablets as well but to no avail.

'A deviated septum or swelling of the intranasal tissues can be one of the many reasons for noisy breathing during sleep. Awareness of the nasal cycle. It is normal for the nose to alternate being obstructed on one side, then change to being obstructed on the other. This is called the nasal cycle.'

You can have a operation to have the inner lining at the top of your nose cut back, sometimes it does grow back.

Thanks, but it's just not at night when I got to bed. I have this dryness all day long. The day Olbas decides to stop making their oil, I am as good as dead.

Get a humidity meter. If you live in a house made solely of dessicants then it'll let you know.

Have you ever spent a period of time away from your home? Does it change?
