Need Help with Pics Plaster type

Hi I need some help regarding some plastering i need to do
This is basically the inside of a catnic lintel.
I was going to dot and dab plasterboard to it and then skim but the thickness is not big enough to put in the plasterboard and then skim so was wondering what other options i have here.
What i was thinking was to put (in the vertical gaps) just thistle hardball and get it level to the existing plaster height and leave it at that.
For the horizontal part, this is on brick and block (again not enough space to d&d) so was going to use thistle hardball and leave it about 2 or 3 mm below the required level and then skim on top of that
Is this the best way of doing this?

Gap to fill is around 10mm

hardwall or bonding coat . bead up and skim

If using hardwall or bonding there - make sure you put some expanded metal lath over the joints in that lintel area. Otherwise I suspect you could get hairline cracks later.

I would guess that i would need some EML on the verticals (where the wood is) and the horizontal where the metal part of the lintel is.

Regarding the EML, where can i buy this from sheds. Wickes do it but 2.5m which is a bit big. Is there and alternative in Screwfix?

You need a lintel over that opening otherwise that prop will have to remain forever. There's no support for the the brick/block above. And judging by the look of the existing brickwork, its continued existence is in question.

There is a lintel, the blockwork sits on it.

So i have got some EML, got some bead edges, got some of that blue bonding paint stuff with the grit in it.
Here is what i plan to do.
1. Paint the paint everywhere that needs to be plastered
2. Fix the EML to the places where it needs it (this would be in the gap on the left side between the plasterboard and the brick where there is timber exposed and also the left and right ends of the lintel where there is a gap. The gap does in fact go all the way along but the most part of if would be covered by the corner bead on the plasterboard.
3. Apply the Hardwall plaster but ensure that this is 2mm (fish) short of the final finish
4. Apply the Multifinish to the existing level

Is this correct?

oh yeah and fix the edges before the Multifinish coat/s
