Omnie TorFloor UFH - anyone used it?

I’m looking at this UFH solution for an upcoming project on suspended timber floors.

It’s the only solution I’ve found which gives a low floor build up and is designed to replace the structural floor.
It comprises a routed 22mm chipboard sheet with a foil overlay where the UFH pipes sit. It’s then over boarded with 6mm ply which completes the structural floor for final floor covering with tiles, engineered wood floor or low tog carpet.

Can’t find any feedback on it other than SkillBuilder banging on about it on YouTube (sponsored ad no doubt)

Anyone used it in the real world and can vouch for its performance?

Hi, did you ever go ahead and use the TorFloor? I am interested in this system but I am concerned about low thermal mass and creaking floors.

I did yes, although it is not up and running yet as I've not finished the renovation project.

Having never installed one before I found it easy to install once I'd read all the instructions and watched the skill builder youtube videos a few times. The components sent are good quality and the floor plan they send with the kit makes it easy to set out.

They do say to install plenty of insulation below to minimise heat loss. With mine, I didn't have the space between the joists in one of the rooms so time will tell how effective it is or how quickly it looses heat once switched off.

The 22mm panels they supply have to be glued and screwed down with a layer of ply glued and screwed on top. This took a bit of time to do marking out the pipe runs on all the sheets so I didn't screw through a pipe! I have to say though it is solid as anything and doesn't squeak or flex under foot. Again I haven't tested heating/cool down yet for any noise but given how solid it feels now I doubt it.

Three of the rooms are tiled with UFH below and one room will have engineered wood floor (not laid yet) so it will be interesting to see what difference the floor covering makes. The bathrooms will all have heated towel rails and the room with wood floor will have two additional radiators as a backup if the heat output isn't enough on really cold days.

I'll update once its up and running which will hopefully be in 1-2 months time.
