A bit more info when the pir is activated i get 2 slow flashes and then when i move again short flashes.

Does the PIR have a battery saving option ?

PIRs with battery saving enabled will send a "motion detected" message to the panel when they detect motion and then go into silent mode while that motion is still being detected. This avoids repeatedly sending messages and thus saves battery power.

The PIR will come out of silent mode after a few minutes have passed with no motion being detected. The next time motion is detected the PIR will send a "motion detected" message and then go into silent mode.

PIRs without battery saving will be transmitting messages all the time people are moving around in the PIR's view.

Hi, Thanks for the reply. The PIR is what is recommended by Honeywell for the flex system (IR8M) and there is no setting for battery saving option. The PIR is located in the garage so hardly gets activated.
Looking at documentation it says dip switch should be v2 gy for Galaxy and Vista. I just checked PIR and its set to Alpha for Dominal so I will change it to see if it sovles the problem.

Update: I have changed old PIR removed serial and paired new PIR with the panel as I can see the new serial No. in th RF intruder zone (signal strength is good menu 21). But when I do a walk test I get nothing for that zone. When I walk pass the sensor I get 2 long flashes then when I move after that I just get 2 short flashes. I thougth that wireless PIRs do not flash after warm up unless the alarm is set? The PIR does this wether or not the panel is in walk test mode. Could it be a Faulty RF unit (Honeywell A073-00-01)?
Does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks.
