Cheap trap? Some are known to leak... Try a McAlpine, better quality. Also check it's not coming from above, how have you sealed the waste into the basin?
Waste to basin is siliconed. Not from there- I have spent ages lying down and wiping dry and checking where the leak is. No leak on the threads of the waste. It is a Floplast cheapie from Screwfix.
Might be your issue, if you're confident its not coming from above.

Hope that solves it, if it still leaks, look at using a Basin Mate to seal the waste. Never yet had one of those leak.
I often wind ptfe tape around the rubber seals 2-3 times when the waste is problematic. Wont help the seal to the basin of course
