wood to tile

Ive bought 18mm wood flooring (+4 mm underlay) for sitting room. I have suspended wood flooring throughout with ceramic tiles in kitchen and carpet in other room. Not sure best way forward as to the different levels the wood will create. I need to come up with an answer before him indoors divorces me

Dazlight thank you for your reply. Would the different levels cause a trip hazard do you think? That is what we are concerned about.
