The British Empire was a mixed bag like all tend to be. Probably better than the Roman one and then think about Blad The Impaler.

Then think what's the point in crying over spilt milk while bearing in mind many countries are still exploited. Sure they may earn a wage but ..................................

The other point as well is that talking about it and etc will do nothing what so ever about various problems and given time scales they have nothing to with those anyway.

The Hindus worship the cow. And, thus in India, you won't be able to eat beef anywhere.
They also bath in cow urine and one of their herbal mainstream product ranges, Patanjali, secretly contains cow urine.

I love India their culture and the people. It really is the most wonderful colourful place. Never in a rush.

I was in a crowded shop (Katmandu) where a small cow decided to walk through. No one could do a thing other than try to guide it out the door. On a main street through the city a Really big cow lay bang in the middle slowing the traffic up. They know that they are untouchable.

Did a stretch there, but quite a bit later.
Never punched a cow, but dispatched more than a few chickens in my time!
Being up north, did the volunteers from various kibbutzim back then meet up at the square in kiryat shmona and do the 'dying fly'?
(after a few neshers/arak of course)

Drank plenty of arak but not in the square at Kiryat, I've been there but I can't for the life of remember why, maybe just passing through. I was on kibbutz Gadot a little to the south.
The only reason I went to Israel was because a friend in London had been the year before and looking at his photographs, I saw a picture of an Israeli girl in an army uniform and decided there and then I had to set off in search of this olive skinned beauty. She eluded me and I had to settle for a rather pale skinned dancer from Bournemouth instead, lovely girl nonetheless.

I never see Beef for sale. The Wimpy bar in New Deli even sold Buff burgers.

Yet I see plenty of Pork for sale in Tel Aviv

I remember having steak in the Imperial in Delhi, I guess they use Muslim or Christian chefs & waiters

We were on a trip to Israel, our guide was a British Jew whose mother was a refugee from the nazis and ended up in Tel Aviv, she lodged with Yitzak Rabins family and Rabin senior disliked hassidic jews and used to cook bacon on his balcony to annoy his neighbours

A post from someone expressing experience instead of just constantly 'critiquing' posts, sets some of us apart from others on here.
how much "experience" of refugees coming here in boats do you have?
