Loving this thread already should weed out..the.. Fest stop it. Anyway yeah looking forward to lots this year. Spent a few away from home and a few in ruins of rebuilds.
This year is good, it's all coming together. Love the smell of the trees and mulled wine try and keep it earthy and traditional decorating tree too with no plastic or dodgy bits, well apart from the lights.
Got some xmas scented oils for the diffusers to spread that cheer
Started prepping already making a rich fruit cake tomorrow, traditional recipe from my nan i do every year as a nod to her (love you nan if you're reading this xxx)

Love that Christmas tree smell. Evokes memories. We always had a real tree at me Ma's and so do we.

I got a TV speaker soundbar and I can now do away with the subtitles.
A few years ago I bought Mrs Mottie a 5 year diary and she writes down all the nice things that have pleased her before she goes to sleep at night. I have the odd peek and....she’s easily pleased! Simple things like "Saw a Robin in the garden", "Had a nice walk with friends", "Steve made me a nice meal”, "Bought some flowers", "Spoke to Stef" (or Ross) - our kids. As I said, easily pleased.

Blimey you were posh, we had Lino and rugs, still remember the smell of the tree, same old decorations, those twirly things hung off the mantelpiece spinning in the heat
I saw a dead fox today...
Went for a run earlier on, wanted to do a long run so didn't start along my usual route but it was apparent after the first mile or so that a long run was not on the cards today, I felt awful, so just did a similar distance as my normal route. Bit disappointed but then after downloading my run later on it seems that most of run was about 2mins/mile quicker than normal.

In my native Italy it's a sign of good luck, obviously not for the fox...Who is this positive for Johnny? the farmer.
