I hope the pump valves don't weep round the isolating taps when you switch them back on. The pump will be a Grundfos 15/60. Ebay will be your best bet for a replacement as the usual outlets, Screwfix etc. only sell the UPS 2. One of those heads fits, but the impeller is smaller. Still works but probably a bit less efficient.

You're (of course) right that the pump is a Grundfos 15-60. It's specifically labelled as a UPS 15-60x18. All the ones on eBay seem to have "130" at the end (UPS 15-60x18 130) - what does that 130 relate to? the 130 just refers to the length between the pump faces it is 130mm, nearly all pumps these days are 130 but some old ones were 180, yes the pump in your link will be fine , not sure I would be buying a used one though spend the extra and get new , doesnt have to say Bosch on it, they are Grundfoss, just badged Bosch
Final update time!
The new pump arrived (Ian I took your advice and got a new one), and it’s now fitted. That was definitely the source of all the original problems (not just the not firing) so it’s all behaving perfectly.

Do you mean isolation valves either side of the pump? No I don't think there are any - well I certainly didn't use any if they are there, just lots of towels that ended up very wet
I was thinking it is one of the older Heatslaves.
