Misheard lyrics

Listening to the radio in the car this morning, blame it on the boogie came on. Not really taken much notice of it before, but I had to check the lyrics when I got home. I was sure I heard "We spent the night in 'Frisco at every kiddie disco", which would seem to fit in with all the smears over the years, but it is "every kind of disco". Any other misheard lyrics ?

I used think "no more ace to play" was "No more aches and pains".

The title of the song was totally lost on me.

The greatest dancer. Instead of "One night in a disco, on the outskirts of Frisco", Mrs Mottie used to think it was "One night in a disco, on the outskirts of Bristol".

Also, "Go and get stuffed" instead of "Going gets tough".

There's a Catholic hymn, 'Faith of our Fathers' with a refrain, 'We will be true to thee till death'.

Billy Connolly, raised close to the shipyards, with its shift work, related in one of his hilarious skits that all the kids thought it said, ' We will be two till two till ten'! You need to see it, as usual, really funny.

Old friend of mine from school (sadly dead now) had slightly 'sticky out ears', I say slightly because most people didn't notice, he wore his hair quite long to conceal it. As I said most people really didn't notice but it was always a concern to him, so much so that when he was in his late thirties, he paid for a private operation to have his ears pinned back.
If he hadn't told us about the op, I doubt any of us would have noticed.

I suspect he wished he hadn't told us because whenever he walked into the pub after that he was greeted by a verse of 'holding back the years' by Simply Red.
