Moving the boiler outlet (pictures included)

We're looking to extend out a small amount at the back of our house, shown on the plan below in red.

Currently the outlet from the boiler goes straight outside, I'm guessing we can just extend the outlet so it exits in the new external wall? It's an oil boiler if that makes any difference.

You can see the oil feed at the bottom of the picture (see it circled in the photo (in red), I'm guessing this won't be too difficult to deal with?

You'll also need to consider what you're going to do with the condensate discharge, which currently appears to run into an incorrectly-installed soakaway. What's outside the utility room? Is it the garden, or a neighbour's boundary? There are rules about how close a flue terminal can be to a boundary

When we extend out, the external wall will be 1.0 metre away from the neighbour's boundary.

You can see from the photo above the current configuration for the condense and the flue. I'm guessing we just extend these internally and exit them out of the new external wall.
 
What is going to be in the extension? You will have at least a flue at knee/waist height running through the space (possibly unsupported)..... and you actually still obtain a longer flue for your boiler?
 
What you need to look at is the flue has to be 600mm from the neighbours boundary. (I Think :idea:)
You also have to look at:
Where their flue is.
Have they got openable windows.
Air Bricks
If the condense from the flue becomes a nuisance they may ask you to redirect it. and you may have too.
could you go vertical?


The Condense pit needs to be 500mm facing away from your wall but then it would be less than 500mm facing your neighbours wall. If thats right , it'll be wrong. Can you take the condense internally?
 
I can contain and support the extended flue internally by boxing it into a cupboard. The neighbour's house is well away from the boundary so no problem there.

With those points ticked off, I guess it is all doable?

Possibly, only way to confirm is by having the person doing the job having a look on site. Is the correct flue still available for your boiler?

Yes I think your ready to go Your Gas engineer will know whats what.
 
Me and the missus are in the very early discussion stages, it all looks doable, but the boiler thing may have been a big problem. However, after getting your knowledge this has given me confidence that we can get around the problem. So thank you, I can now push on with working out costs etc.
