Watch the oil level.

I put chainsaw oil on the chain itself, every 10 minutes of sawing or so.
I must admit the automatic oiling system is poor.

I thought it may be underpowered, but it works just as it does in the video, and on greenwood.

The thing I really like, it's so safe, compared to an open chainsaw.

One of the few tools I've never used, they literally fill me with dread, I know a tree surgeon and some of his stories haven't helped. As you say, that really has to be a lot safer than an open chain.

Perhaps the only tool where the PPE costs (or probably should cost) more than the tool itself.

After using a 9" angle grinder a chainsaw becomes more docile, especially if you have one with an instantaneous brake!

I saw something on TV recently, might have been Countryfile where a guy was using a chainsaw , had helmet & visor on but wearing a t shirt and either shorts or jeans

I've used a 9" grinder plenty of times, I'm quite relaxed with that, it's the thought of that chain snapping. *shudders*

After the Christmas extended household announcement, just rapidly booked 2 rooms in nearby hotel from Christmas Eve until Boxing Day for some of Mrs Dangees immediate family! Done, something else to tick off the list.
