So I guess it's a case of whether the source of the 'intelligence' can be relied upon/believed...

And when almost every government is adopting a different strategy then maybe some 'believe' less or more about what this 'virus' is capable of?

Yeah, because that* is a question that can be answered with less than a PhD dissertations worth of work.

* comparing deaths per million factoring in different advice at the time, evolving knowledge about the disease, global spread, levels of care taken at each point in time and underlying demographic and geographical variations.

Also, it is bad publicity for the government, they cannot do anything right in the eyes of voters - leave pubs open, they're killing people, close pubs, they're killing business. Lose -lose.

But as you say, people believe it nonetheless!

That's my thoughts exactly, and I did bring this up, which is when I got hit with the great reset conspiracy lol

It's not lack of motive; it's just that we haven't been told what the motive is.

They are seemingly trashing the economy just to save a few lives. That is most unlike governments as well.
