Hi All

I am looking to purchase the Pyronix wireless system kit and was curious as to whether the wireless remote keypad has the capability to make the chime sounds as well as the main panel. I wish to have a keypad at the front and back doors. We use either depending if we’re taking a car trip or just walking the dogs.

It would be good if both chimed when either door is opened in unset mode.

I guess it is possible to set both doors as entry/exit, so when in set A, entry into either back or front would produce countdown on that contact, and intruder mode in night set.

the system looks ideal as I want the garage and workshop zones active all the time except when in use, so I will need at least three zones. I did look at the Yale, but this looks a far superior system.

I have 20 years experience computer programming and hardware/software repairs so the manuals I’ve downloaded don’t seem too daunting. I expect there may be a few questions as the install progresses though.
Thanks for any help

Phil.

Well, decorating projects have been mainly accomplished, now on to the alarm.

I have the Enforcer V10 being setup in my workshop and have added all the sensors no problem. When setting up input types is there a type I am missing whereby the Final exit in A becomes intruder in B? I know of Fx (part ER) but is there a code for FX (part intruder)?

As it stands the back door set to 10 would countdown if triggered at night (B) instead of instant alarm, is that usual?

thanks for any feedback.

I have completed a basic setup and allseems to be working fine, except the user code doesn't cancel the countdown trigger from the remote keypad after an area entry, whether that is A or B

I created a user that can arm and disarm all modes.

I've checked the user code user set option and ensured that it is set to unset/set [0].
The user area is also set to ABCD for set and unset

I find it strange that the user code allows me to set an area and unset it from the remote arming station and main control panel, and the code will stop the entry timer from the main panel.

The code will stop the alarm after it has been triggered from both the main panel and the remote station.

It’s just it won’t stop entry countdown from remote station.

I’ve checked pin access is not disabled, (pin access works during countdown on main panel) and flexi is set to on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can't believe this relatively basic function is the only thing I can't get to work.

Currently I can use the master panel to unset during a countdown.

Thanks

phil

I would go to "assign keypads" in the engineer menu and look at the programming in there. Ensure that the keypad is programmed to be in the correct are and able to set/unset the correct areas.

Thanks for input

I’ve checked the options and permissions are set for the arming station to set/unset all areas and is programmed to be in all areas. Should it only be set to be in one area?

Will try that option of only setting in area B as that is the only area it will be required to unset.

Thanks for suggestions to both of you, it’s appreciated.

Well, I tried all the settings for pin restrict, but the pin works on the main panel so had little hope that was going to cure it. I did have a phone conversation with the supplier who talked me through several options, all of which were set as he expected.

Instead of chasing down a rabbit hole for too long, I did another 2000 reset, set up one area, A, one contact set to A, as 07 final, one user code setup for just A, and tested this worked on the main panel. Fine so far.

Added the remote keypad again, it now sets and unsets, but moreover stops countdown after event trigger . I then went on to add the other four contacts and four PIRs and set the user code to use all letters. Now all nine sensors work as expected, in four modes. A and B as usual, C for garage (three contacts set to 06) and workshop (contact set to 07) so they can be set through the day as a stand-alone if I’m indoors, and D is just garage if I’m in the workshop for the afternoon. Garage and Worksop are also included in A and B.

For some reason now, when setting A, waiting for it to set and test by triggering the hall PIR sensor it alarms immediately. That’s great. Before it started a countdown as it does in B, as it is the final for B. It’s set to 09. Back door is the main entrance, contact at 07.

I can’t seem to add a key fob, but that may be the two new fobs I bought off the bay. I tried adding a user, pick a location, instead of code, press and hold the lock button, an orange light is emitted, but the panel doesn’t add it as a user. Will chase that one tomorrow.

Tomorrow, it’s also add a bell time, we’ll see how that works out.

Will report back progress adding the next bits, I may ask for help as it reads a bit more complex.

Yes, they were new, other. Tested not used.
Have just been looking at one of your other posts where you mentioned defaulting the key fobs. Haven’t found the process for this yet.

Is it a button press combination?

Update, have found Spakymarka’s kf4 manual which I’ll have a go with later.

That’s one problem that is no longer a problem. thanks sparkymarka.

relearning worked a treat, two new fobs for £20, came as part of his kit he didn’t want.

onwards and upwards.

As an aside, does anyone know if the smaller square kf4-we key fob will programme to the V10 as I believe it was released for the 32we?

I have been offered one but don’t want to have him post it if it’s incompatible.
Thanks.

the panel is new so it should have the latest compatibility with previous devices, usually the issues are with panels that were out long before the device.
