Birds cause power cuts

We had something similar a couple years back on a pheasant farm.

We were getting no supply calls that became a pattern.
Turned out the pheasants were roosting on the bare LV line, and when they flew off in the morning, clashed the line together, blowing the PMT fuses.
Changed for covered conductor. Not been there since.

Probably Namibia or S Africa, in Namibia the Sociable Weaver birds like power/ telephone poles for their nest building, eventually they fall over due to the weight

Apparently snakes take up residence and help themselves to the birds & eggs
