Ho Ho Ho one and all,

I have had a problem with my wireless door button for some time and now figure it is time to fix the issue.
Being somewhat of a cheapskate, I don't want to replace everything inside when the problem is only the door push.

But it is a non-specific brand chime and I wonder if any of the more well known manufacturer buttons will work.

My basic question is, do all bell push button more or less work on the same frequency so any are interchangeable? Or will it be a question of suck it and see?

Thanks and toodle pip

do all bell push button more or less work on the same frequency

Legal ones operate on either 433.92HHz or 868.xx MHz radio frequency carrier.

But they do not all speak the same digital language. Different manufacturers use different digital languages

Think of the radio frequency carrier as a telephone connection between two people. Conversation is impossible if the two people do not speak the same language.

Thanks for your reply. So it would seem new button and interior chimes. I hate discarding something that is working!

It is only the button that is not working, the chimes do just fine when I short the micro-switch.

But I did preface the thread with 'being a cheapskate.'

yep i doubt you can just replace the button part alone.yhe sebder ie button and receiver will be paired to each other. For the cost just buy a complete new one
