Screeding new extension floor

Yea i hear you. Its all good fun aint it! We have faced loads of issues but mostly down to other people. I keep telling myself it will be worth it!

My garage was pumped and my footings for this extension as that was 7cu.

Same setup, mix on site.

So one thing i probably wont know till i dig up the old floor is if theres any hardcore under it. Its 1940s and probably 2-3 inches thick. Kinda hoping its good ground under there.

Time to make some more calls

I found a soldier course of bricks as a Complete floor, under Which was a load of 100mm thick York stone, which I’ve kept to one side.

It all had to come up before I started.

I found ‘the floor’ to be one of the most time consuming and costly items, as there was always another membrane/layer to buy/fit.

It will be worth it in the end, is something I frequently hear:mad:
been a real up and down project if I’m honest.

Good luck with yours.

Haha, yes same here. Emotional roller coaster.

Things costing more seems than expected is normal for me too so thats expected!

Well, thanks for the help and happy new year to all.
