Thinking of buying a new build house. Not sure if heating is appropriate

What issues would we have in this scenario (with 15mm piping et al)?

water flow rates, although as the whole heating system would be mains pressure (unlike unvented systems which are usually reliant on gravity for their flow and so is piped in 22mm), i wonder if this might be ok.

however the experts (muggles) has already given his opinion, so i would go with that

15mm is quite restrictive to flow, especially over a long run. You'll find you're not achieving the flow rates you'd hope for. It'll probably be better than a combi, but unlikely to achieve its potential

Keep the combi and just pipe an unvented in utility room

When I rang the estate agent he said it's running off a combi and advised that I could install electric showers if we wanted to have simultaneous showers!
at 40 amp each, that's 120 amp, not seen any domestic with over 100 amp unless three phase, and it would need cables so same problem as pipes.

One expects with new build to just move in, not to have to correct things.

OK for my wife and I retired and she wants room for craft things yes may work, but as others have said, if boiler not appropriate what else is wrong?

I think the seller just wants rid tbh! Thanks to everyone for their feedback but it's all academic now.. my wife wants a bigger garden + there's no space like a garage or similar for my tools!

This house hunting lark is a complete nightmare and that's the first property we saw :eek::cry:

Can you just ask them to put in an appropriate boiler - say you asked on social media and several plumbing and heating professionals said combi would not do.
They might panic and worry that other customers will see the comments and sort it out quietly for you ...

I think that they are selling a house 'not fit for purpose'. Three showers but only one can be used at a time !!???

My house is on a 60 amp DNO fuse, and we have two electric showers and one off boiler, it also has two kitchens, so three ovens, two hobs, six bedrooms, two washing machines, one tumble drier, so any quick toting up of potential power use shows 60 amp not enough, but with just two of us living here, the fuse has never blown.
