Plumber telling me fibs?

Yeah, fair enough, it is fiddly but with the right tools and a tap box spanner then it's done pretty quickly once you get the knack .... it's always the hot tap (furthest away) that's the pain in the a$$ to get to sometimes.

Update - so i asked the plumber as you guys have advised and you guys are right, he said he had planned to only replace the front of the taps and leave the pillars in place. it would have been nice of him to tell me this upfront as i could have paid him £50 for an ugly job that i did not want!

i prefer people be honest and upfront rather than quote for something that is a half way house and not tell you.
