i know that it doesn't take any longer if you had to do this in a workshop setting and it is down to access in home settings. is it generally harder to get access to the bath taps than the basin taps?
and are bath taps generally harder to take off than basin taps if they are old?
In my experience removing and fitting bath taps ,bath panel etc virtually always takes more time and is more awkward than basin taps.
Particularly if rigid 22 mm copper pipes.

Thanks. I would expect to pay £80 to £90 to get basin taps replaced. I have been quoted £150 for bath taps, so I am trying to work out if this is a reasonable estimate by seeing how much more difficult bath taps are to replace over and above basin taps.
Going rate is about £90 an hour. So to fit the basin taps, plumbers estimate an hour. I am guessing he is estimating 1.5 hr for bath taps, so an extra 30 minutes. Doesn't sound unreasonable if you say that it normally takes longer to replace bath taps over basin taps.
