Texecom vs orisec

What bell box is the brightest out of the two? I have an orisec and it doesn’t seem very bright compared to pyronix delta bell or texecom, is the texcom odyssey X acutely brighter? Them seem to stand out more when I drive past houses

Which one and on which panel.

Orisec bells have adjustable brightness, but how you adjust depends on the panel it’s on.

picture of the bell when it’s dark might be able to give you a better idea

Orisec panels and wired via network, or wireless bell with local power adjusts with the panels settings between 0 and 1200 without looking.

If hard wired conventional when power the bell up you can use tamper to set brightness to one of 8 levels

As for which is the brightest, I suspect Orisec on its max setting, power wise it’s a about 3 x more power on the back light on Orisec max setting compared to Texecoms.

My installer has said it’s set at the brightest but I’ve seen them else where and they defo look brighter I have pyronix panel so I think it can only been done by going up to the box neighbours have texecom and there definitely look brighter in comparison sorry I know picture doesn’t help as it was took early morning

Too close up to tell, was looking at the last one I did and it looks as well Illuminated as yours and that was at half way point rather than full whack but that was on an Orisec panel.

set at 600 rather than 1200, as for brightness and coverage I think the Orisec has the edge, on a like for like comparison, Orisec Back light 4mA to 150mA compared to Texecoms 40mA.

However the odyssey X is going through a sheet and a clear front cover and orisecs is going through a hard plastic front, so its possible that has some affect on brightness observed.

See I have a dummy at the rear but it’s also lit up to the same brightness the installer seems to think as the same wire is powering both it must be taking some of the brightness away from the front not sure how true that would be and don’t want to pay to have the wires changed so they are running separate and for there to be no change in terms of brightness

Not sure I can be definitive on that.

You have tested the bell to ensure it works day and night?

As I don't know what setting the bell is on its difficult for me to say how much current the bell is drawing in standby (quiescent) day or night, as at night it draws more due to the bell box only being illuminated at night.

At full brightness 150mA is a lot x 2 would be 300mA and that's as much as some bellbox's need to fire the siren.

Sorry can't remember which pyronix panel you were on, but power available from the panel will depend on where its connected and which panel its connected to.

It’s a pyronix euro46 panel will get the installer to look at it again it just seems that not many people are confident in how the orisec stuff works and of course they won’t speak to non installers, you don’t happen to know if the intervals of how often the led flash can be changed mine seem abit slow but there’s an orisec bell on a premise down the road and it goes side to side as quick as my delta bell did

Confident how Orisec products work, its a question of the combinations used I cant be certain of.

for example it be reasonable to assume the lowest back light setting is the lowest power consumption 4mA wrt to the bells back light and full brightness is 150mA, dont know if you hve a grade 2 or grade configuration, don't know what current mode has been selected etc etc

As for the LED's its possible on an Orisec system to program the LED's flash differently, so comparing with other units may leave you guessing.
