Programmable Thermostat Advice

Hi

I’m looking to replace a traditional manual thermostat which is a Danfoss RMT320 with a programmable thermostat. The existing installation is a four wire installation, on a back box. It is positioned close to a door frame, with 10mm space to the right. Our boiler is an oil boiler - a Grant Vortex.

Please could someone suggest a good programmable option, satisfying the following criteria:
1 Able to specify weekday/weekend programmes
2 Works with our oil boiler
3 Fits on a back box and doesn’t extend more than 10mm to the right
4 Doesn’t have to be WiFi enabled, but ok if it is

I’ve looked at a MoesGo option on Amazon but I’m not sure if it will work with the oil boiler. The danfoss and Honeywell ones look to be rectangular and exceed the 10mm space restriction.

All thermostats will work with an oil boiler , they are simply a switch, good luck with the Moes, they are cheap chinese crap

Thanks @ianmcd both your points have confirmed what I was thinking. Do you have a suggestion of decent makes? I've been happy with Honeywell in the past and would have gone for one of theirs if they would fit.

Just get a wireless stat, then you are not limited on space, just put the receiver by the boiler.

Can not advise on controllers as I have an old drayton days tat, they make a modern version that has complete 7d control and wireless, but it's only CH.
I have main timer for CH/HW and replaced room stat with the drayton unit to give control over temps throughout the day which normal timer does not do.

Yes Honeywell used to be good, but the market has been flooded by cheap rubbish, so everyone doing everything they can to lower prices, which has resulted in poor quality and unreliable units flooding the market, stay away from Salus, they are really bad, afraid everything else is a bit of a lottery, as a rule of thumb the simpler the better
