Sander for walls

Can anyone advise a sander for sanding my walls.

I have essentially put a decorating skim filler coat on the walls, and patched a large section of ceiling where once a built in wardrobe stood.

I've got a Bosch green multi sander, and I've used it on similar tasks around the house, however it's not very comfortable, and seems to produce more noise and vibration than actual work.

So I'm looking at buying one that's going to work well, I've got a few rooms in similar states to do so it's worthwhile buying.

The other thing is what type of sander would be best, orbital, palm sander etc

Thanks, I see them.wasnt sure if they were a gimmick or they actually work well,

I'm also lazy and wanted something mechanical, BUT if that's the best way then I'll do that

Better than any power sander if it's filler. So easy too. Get 60 and 120/180 grit sheets.

Just a thought, have you actually used this? What's it like waving it around with the hose attached to it? Does it feel cumbersome?

It's a decorators skimming filler, though it seems like just ordinary filler in a big tub to me

The hose is long and lightweight. Not cumbersome. You just use a light up and down or side to side motion that's all that is required.

I use mirka now for all internal sanding, the large pad and the smaller mouse.

+ one for the Abranet, I use it on filler ,wood, paint , plaster etc on large areas of wall I call it reverse plastering

I'd use any orbital and bodge on vacuum cleaner. Start with 180g either mesh or paper discs. Mesh is a bit nicer.
120g is fine on some fillers but can take too much off so start with 180g.

I used B&Q own brand 125mm orbital for years with a bit of waste pipe and silicone and a few screws to help hook to Henry. Done OK before I splashed out of pro stuff. Here it is..

Thought I'd give an update.

So I night some hoover adaptors for the various tools.

Then bought the mirka hand sander.

I had a fair amount of filler to burn through so thought I'd start with the Bosch sander I've already got to make a dent and then finish it with the mirka, I got arm ache and dust everywhere, it's actually quite heavy when holding it on the ceiling one handed and waving around, with the other hand holding the hoover up because the hose is quite short. the dust extraction of the boach is crap to put it kindly, so after 10 minutes I gave up,

I then attacked it with the mirka hand sander.

I'm very impressed, not only is it smoother than the electric sander, but it works just as quick, and gives a better finish and virtually zero dust

So thankyou for the recommendation.
